Custom Map? Huh. What is it good for?
Let's get started
Watch the video below or skip to the instructions after.
- Open Google Chrome
- Go to maps.google.com
- Sign in with your csddocs.org account (same as school computer login)
- Click "Custom Map"
- Click "Create" (blue box with pencil)
- On the new page, click where it says "Untitled map"
- Retype a new title for your map: "your initials - Spanish 2, Unit 3 Vocab - Map"
- Click on the green "Share" button on your right
- Change privacy settings by clicking blue "Change" box to "anyone with the link"
- Click "Done" button at the bottom
- Add markers to your map by clicking the balloon icon
- Drop 10 markers using the Unit 3 Spanish vocab - you don't have to stick to the vocab as long as you can label in Spanish 10 places around town that are interesting to you (feel free to even use spanishdict.com if you want)
- Be creative! Make it cool!
- Have fun with the project--this skill could come in handy later.
- Students who go above and beyond the call of duty may be rewarded with a Husky gram home, Key Card, extra credit, or an entry in a drawing.
